Disciplinary Courses & Registration

Continuing Education

Mandatory Continuing Education was eliminated by the Board in 2012, and is no longer required in order to renew licenses annually; however, the Board does encourage all licensees to continue to attend educational courses appropriate for their qualifications in order to remain current on codes, practices, technologies, and other subjects pertaining to the professional trades. The Board does not approve providers or courses and there is no need to report CE hours to the Board.

Exam Prep & Code Courses are offered by independent education providers and are listed below by subject. Individuals interested in attending courses must contact the provider for additional information. The Board does not review or approve these offerings, nor does it guarantee the accuracy of the contact information provided,

Disciplinary Education courses were established in 2013. Licensees who are found to be in violation of the Board’s Laws and Rules, or lacking in knowledge of codes, design, installation or business management practices may be required to complete Board-approved courses in order to comply with requirements agreed to by the licensee or ordered by the Board. These courses are also open to anyone who wishes to attend on a voluntary basis.

The Board Laws & Rules class is offered by the Board at no charge. All other disciplinary courses are offered by third-party providers, and  individuals wishing to attend must contact the provider for registration and payment.
